Together we make change that lasts for generations

We believe that people are the answer to making long-lasting change happen. We know that simply sending money can’t make the kind of lasting changes we all want to see. So, VSO does things differently. We work through volunteers to empower the most marginalised and left-behind communities. Together over the past five years we have supported:

  • 2 million children gained inclusive education thanks to over 5,800 trained teachers working across 3,900 schools and centres.
  • Over 1.6 million youth received vital health messages and over 3,088 trained youth health volunteers were trained via in-person and online sessions.
  • Over 3,200 girls received dignity and educational kits and grants to help them stay in school.
  • 5,000 families now have sustainable incomes through over 100 community based volunteers including advisors on life-skills and agricultural practices.
