Over half of girls in Kenya drop out of school before age 14. Their lives are dominated by extreme poverty. VSO education expert Peter trains teachers to get girls back into education, with brighter futures ahead.

Meet VSO education expert – Peter Onani

As many as half of Kenyan girls drop out of education before secondary school. Forced to undergo FGM, marriage and motherhood, many are pregnant at age 12. VSO experts like Peter from Kenya are creating lasting changes in their communities.

Every day they work hard to build quality and inclusive education for all. A skilled and experienced educator, Peter jumped at the opportunity to mentor, coach and train teachers in education catch up centres for young girls who have lost hope.
