Role overview

Are you passionate about working with youth for a better future? As a Youth Mobilisation Specialist you will support the implementation of VSO’s 5-year youth initiative project. Your primary role is to support outreach activities, awareness raising campaigns, mobilization, referrals and linkages to opportunities for youth. You will be working in tandem with EDC and other project partners.

The project Opportunity 2.0 is on its third year of implementation.

The national volunteer will be assigned in Cotabato City. The candidate should be a Filipino national.

Skills, qualifications and experience

Skills and experience

• Experience working directly with young people to develop youth-led influencing strategies and campaigns for change
• Knowledge of child and youth safeguarding and child rights, current issues and best practice including child protection issues associated with youth campaigning and advocacy, including digital safety.
• Experience in strategic youth advocacy, project implementation, organisational development, and capacity building/training

Allowance

As a VSO volunteer, you will be sharing your skills with local communities on a full time basis. VSO will provide you with a local living allowance. This allowance meets reasonable living expenses.
