Donate today. Help babies and women in Ethiopia

Conflict has forced women like Aida* and their babies to flee their homes.** On their way to safety, babies have become dangerously malnourished and women have been attacked, sexually assaulted and witnessed horrific atrocities. Thousands of babies and women urgently need food, clothes and blankets.

Please will you make a special donation today?

Donations will be distributed across all types of VSO’s work in health, education and livelihoods.

VSO is working with local organisations to deliver food to internally displaced mothers and pregnant women.

How VSO is responding

Across the country, families face food shortages, high levels of child malnutrition, and inadequate health facilities. Women have been unable to access medical support.

VSO volunteers and partners are providing financial support so mothers and pregnant women can have much-needed food, water and blankets.

We're working in camps providing psycho-social support to girls and women who have suffered gender based violence. This empowers them to understand their rights and break the silence on their suffering.

VSO is also helping to rebuild health services by training health workers in lifesaving skills and equipping them with knowledge they can use to treat patients.
