Working at all levels of society to reduce impact of HIV and AIDS
Our Regional Health and AIDS Initiative for Southern Africa (RHAISA) co-ordinates our response in the region where two out of every three people in the world living with HIV reside.
Around 37 million people are living with HIV. We minimise the impact of the pandemic by working at all levels of society to:
- Support communities demanding better testing and healthcare
- Advocating for the rights of caregivers
- Ensuring there is good quality antiretroviral coverage
- Working with government to legalise fairer treatment for anyone living with the virus
