Social researchers

Our partners need experienced professionals to plan and conduct research to support existing advocacy work or strengthen their capacity to support the rights of minorities such as people with disabilities or those living with HIV and AIDS.

Most placements focus on planning, designing and conducting research and reporting. You are likely to manage and train local research assistants. Carrying out field research is not usually an important part of your role.

You’ll need a degree in social science, as well as at least three years work experience in social research. You’ll have strong analytical skills paired with excellent networking skills, practical experience of advocacy work and monitoring and evaluation systems. Experience in the area of disability of HIV and AIDS is desirable.

You could be working in countries like India, Guyana or Mongolia
