Three youngsters based in Beijing have formed a music group to express their opinions on China's education system, it has been reported.
The group, which is entitled In 3, is making waves in the underground music scene and consist of Meng Guodong, Chen Haoran and Jia Wei, the Global Times informed.
All in their mid-20s, the trio believe that much can be done to improve the country's education system.
"There are university students majoring in English who get passing grades on their exams and can't speak English as well as the street peddlers selling cigarettes in Sanlitun," Mr Chen explained to the news provider.
He added that the band is dedicated to "rooting out society's problems" in order for them to be addressed.
In November, a report published by Unicef highlighted China's progress in securing the welfare, education and general wellbeing of its children ,and concluded that those living in its vast rural regions require more attention and care than they currently receive.
