VSO Ireland funding

As a charity organisation operating in Ireland, we receive donations from:

• individuals

• businesses

• Irish government via Irish Aid

• trusts

• foundations

• the EU.

VSO Ireland has a long standing partnership with Irish Aid, the Irish government’s development wing. Since 2004 Irish Aid has been supporting VSO Ireland's work and in 2008 we became a Block Grant partner for our HIV&AIDS programming in Southern Africa.

In May 2011 VSO Ireland secured an extra €480,000 from Irish Aid to continue our successes in mitigating the impact of HIV&AIDS in Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe.  This grant will run from June to November 2011 and will fund specialist volunteer placements, small grants, training initiatives and high level advocacy.
